The Wishing Well is one of the most useful hidden locations in God of War Ragnarök. Tucked away inside the northern region of Vanaheim, this secret area allows you to exchange Crystalline shards for rare rewards that can help upgrade gear all the way to the highest ranks.

Many players discover Crystalline deposits while exploring The Crater but aren't immediately sure what they're used for. The answer is the Wishing Well.

How To Unlock The Crater

Before you can reach the Wishing Well, you'll need access to The Crater.

Progress through the main story until completing the chapter Creatures of Prophecy.

Afterward, you'll gain access to the Favor called Scent of Survival. Completing this quest unlocks The Crater, a large optional region in northern Vanaheim.

How To Reach The Jungle

The Wishing Well is located beyond an area called The Jungle.

From the western side of The Plains, travel south during nighttime. If necessary, use a Celestial Altar to change the time of day.

As you move down the path, look for a cave entrance marked by two dragon-head lanterns.

Fight through the enemies inside and continue to the end of the corridor. Break the wooden barrier covering the opening on the left and climb through to enter The Jungle.

Entering this area automatically starts the Favor Return of the River.

Complete Return Of The River

To gain access to the Wishing Well, you'll need to finish Return of the River.

During the quest you will:

• Clear vines blocking an elevator
• Use Sigil Arrows and the Blades of Chaos
• Open a passage using the Draupnir Spear
• Restore water flow through the canyon

Once the river has been restored, new paths and boat routes become available throughout the area.

Finding The Wishing Well

After restoring the river, return to the area near the Jungle Mystic Gateway.

You may remember an Ogre blocking access nearby earlier in your exploration.

Now that the river has returned, use a boat to reach the area behind the Ogre's location.

Defeat the enemies, lower the chain, open the gate, and continue through the cave beyond.

The path eventually leads directly to the hidden Wishing Well.

How The Wishing Well Works

Using the Wishing Well is simple.

Throughout The Crater, The Plains, and The Jungle, you'll find glowing orange crystal formations.

Destroy these formations to collect Crystalline.

When you reach the Wishing Well, interact with it and Kratos will automatically throw all Crystalline currently in your inventory into the water.

In return, the well rewards you with valuable crafting materials, resources, armor pieces, enchantments, and Hacksilver.

You don't need to deposit crystals individually. The game converts everything you're carrying in a single interaction.

Where To Find Crystalline

Crystalline deposits are scattered throughout the northern regions of Vanaheim.

Keep an eye out for orange glowing crystal formations while exploring.

Some crystals are easy to spot along paths, while others are attached to:

• Cave walls
• Cliffsides

• Elevated ledges

Smaller deposits usually provide one Crystalline, while larger formations reward multiple pieces.
