Roadmap

Early Game

You’ll start your journey in Izuhara, where the game teaches you the basics of combat, stealth, and exploration. Take your time here and get comfortable switching stances, using your bow, and mixing in stealth when things get overwhelming. The combat has depth, and learning it early will make everything smoother later.

This is also a great time to explore. Follow the wind, chase foxes, write haikus, and climb shrines. You’ll naturally start building up charms, health, and resolve, which all make a big difference. Don’t worry about doing everything right away, just enjoy the flow of the game and pick things up as you go.

Mid Game

Once you move into the second region, the game really opens up. You’ll have more abilities, better gear, and access to Mythic Tales which unlock some of the best skills in the game. If something sounds cool, go do it. Chances are it’s worth it.

Start working through ally questlines alongside the main story, since many trophies are tied to finishing them. This is also where you’ll want to begin upgrading your gear more seriously and unlocking Ghost Weapons. If combat ever feels tough or confusing, this is a perfect time to pause and Ask Gami for quick help without breaking your flow.

Late Game

Heading into the final region, you should have most of your core abilities and a solid build. This is where things get more intense, so make sure your gear is upgraded and your stances feel natural to switch between. Enemies hit harder, but by now you should be more than ready.

Focus on finishing the main story, wrapping up remaining ally tales, and clearing out camps as they become available. You don’t need to stress about collectibles yet, just keep progressing and enjoying the final stretch.

Trophy Cleanup and Extra Tips

After finishing the story, the game becomes very cleanup-friendly. Liberating all regions will remove the fog from the map, making collectibles and remaining activities much easier to find. This is the perfect time to finish shrines, haikus, records, artifacts, and any missed tales.

Most trophies will come naturally if you’ve been exploring and doing side content along the way. If anything is missing, just track it down one by one and enjoy the world a bit longer. And if you ever get stuck or don’t feel like digging through menus, just Ask Gami and get right back to playing.
