Morgott The Omen King Boss Guide
Morgott The Omen King is one of the main bosses in Leyndell Royal Capital and essentially a far more aggressive and dangerous version of Margit The Fell Omen. He combines delayed attacks, fast dagger combos, holy weapon summons, and brutal punish windows designed specifically to catch panic rolls.
The key to defeating Morgott is patience. Most of his attacks are intentionally delayed or extended to bait greedy players into dodging too early or attacking during unsafe openings.
Recommended Preparation
Before fighting Morgott, it helps to prepare:
- Bleed or Frostbite weapons
- Strong Spirit Ashes
- High Vigor
- Fast dodge mobility
- Summon support from Melina
Weapons that inflict Bleed or Frostbite work especially well because Morgott has a large health pool and can take huge percentage-based damage from status effects.
You can also use Margit’s Shackle during Phase 1 to briefly pin Morgott to the ground for free hits.
Summons And Spirit Ashes
Melina can be summoned directly outside the fog gate and provides both melee support and ranged spell pressure.
Tanky Spirit Ashes work best during this fight, including:
- Mimic Tear
- Greatshield Soldiers
Using both Melina and Spirit Ashes allows Morgott’s aggro to constantly shift, creating safer openings for melee attacks, healing, or spellcasting.
Phase 1 Strategy
Phase 1 focuses heavily on delayed attacks and fake combo endings.
Morgott frequently chains together long weapon strings before suddenly adding extra dagger swipes or holy weapon follow-ups.
The biggest mistake players make is panic rolling too early.
Learn The Delayed Timing
When Morgott raises his weapon:
- Wait until the weapon actually starts moving
- Dodge into the attack instead of backward
- Stay calm during long pauses
Dodging backward often keeps you inside his combo range and makes follow-up attacks much harder to avoid.
Best Punish Windows
Hammer attacks are generally the safest punish opportunities.
Whenever Morgott performs:
- Large hammer slams
- High leap attacks
- Long overhead swings
you can usually land one or two attacks safely afterward.
Guard Counters can also work well if you have enough stamina to avoid getting guard broken.
Watch For Dagger Follow-Ups
Many of Morgott’s normal attacks secretly continue into:
- Fast dagger swipes
- Holy dagger throws
- Quick retreat attacks
Do not assume a combo is over too early. Many punish attempts fail because players attack immediately after the first swing ends.
Sword Rain Attack
When glowing swords appear in the air:
- Move away immediately
- Avoid standing in the impact zones
- Stay between the falling swords
The attack covers a large area and can punish players trying to stay aggressive for too long.
Phase 2 Strategy
At around 50% health, Morgott collapses and begins coating his sword in blood.
Back away immediately before the explosion attack triggers.
Phase 2 upgrades many of his existing attacks and adds dangerous blood-based follow-ups.
Blood Sword Attacks
One of Morgott’s main Phase 2 attacks involves charging his sword with blood before dashing or slashing forward.
To survive:
- Dodge directly into the attack
- Roll through the slash timing
- Punish from behind afterward
Some variations include:
- Double slashes
- Delayed thrusts
- Blood explosion follow-ups
Each variation has slightly different timing, but dodging into the attack is generally the safest option.
Hammer Explosion Changes
During Phase 2, Morgott’s hammer slams now create delayed explosions after impact.
This means punish windows are shorter than before.
Do not stay beside him too long after hammer attacks or the delayed explosion can catch you.
Stay Patient
The safest strategy is to punish only the attacks you fully recognize.
Whenever Morgott summons holy daggers or glowing weapons, prepare for long combo strings instead of trying to interrupt him.
One or two safe hits is far better than getting trapped inside his extended combo chains.

What You Need

Do not panic roll during delayed attacks, and avoid attacking too aggressively during his combo chains.
Rewards
- Remembrance Of The Omen King

Tips
If Morgott feels overwhelming, slow the fight down mentally and focus only on recognizing one or two safe punish windows at a time.
