Hell Is Us Trophy Guide

Platinum

Trophy: Hero of Hadea

Obtain all Trophies

Type: Platinum

Unlock Details

Obtain all Trophies

Missable

Trophy: Accessorizing

Imbue a Defensive Gear item to Grade 4.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Upgrade any Defensive Gear item to Grade 4, which is the maximum level for defensive equipment. Use Victor the Blacksmith in Jova, Acasa Marshes to handle the upgrades once you have the required materials and have progressed far enough for the higher upgrade levels to become available.

Warning

This is missable for the same reason as the other upgrade trophies. Once Timeloops are closed, enemies stop respawning, which eventually makes your supply of Lymbic Shards finite. Prioritize your trophy-related upgrades before spending heavily on optional crafting.

Trophy: Antiquarian

Acquire all Relics.

Type: Gold

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Collect all 29 Relics in a single playthrough. Relics are equippable items that grant either passive bonuses or active abilities, and they come from several different sources including story progression, Good Deeds, Timeloops, Mysteries, and Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge. This trophy is missable because several Relics are rewards for missable Good Deeds. If you fail one of those Good Deeds, you can permanently lose access to the Relic tied to it and lock yourself out of Antiquarian for that playthrough. The missable Relics are: Call of the Griffon from Land of Milk and Honey Knell of Ebbing Ecstasy from A Light in the Dark The Relentless Assault from Waylaid

Tip

Prioritize the missable Good Deeds as you progress, then use post-story cleanup for the remaining Relics from Timeloops, Mysteries, and Vaults.

Warning

Missing even one Relic means this trophy cannot be earned in that playthrough.

Trophy: Ever After

Ensure that all possible NPCs end up at Lake Cynon.

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Make sure every NPC who can move to Lake Cynon is present there during Act 2. Abbott Jaffer and Rebecca will relocate there automatically after the Pathem Abbey story events, but Halie Tellah and Maxie require specific Good Deeds to be completed at the right time. Halie Tellah is tied to Love Thy Neighbour, which must be completed during Act 1. Maxie is tied to Man’s Best Friend, which becomes available at the start of Act 2 and must be completed before going to Pathem Abbey and triggering Jaffer and Rebecca’s move to Lake Cynon. Once all required NPCs have moved, travel to Lake Cynon again and the trophy will unlock.

Warning

This is missable. If you fail Love Thy Neighbour in Act 1, or complete Man’s Best Friend too late, the required NPCs will not all appear at Lake Cynon.

Trophy: Good Vibrations

Upgrade one of each Weapon type to Grade 5.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Upgrade one Sword, one Twin Axes, one Polearm, and one Greatsword to Grade 5, which is the maximum upgrade level. Weapon upgrades are handled by Victor the Blacksmith in Jova, Acasa Marshes. As you progress through the story, you will find books that expand how far he can upgrade your gear, so you will not be able to finish this immediately. The trophy is technically missable because closing Timeloops permanently stops enemies from respawning, which means your supply of Lymbic Shards eventually becomes finite. In practice, you should receive more than enough Shards during a normal playthrough, especially from the required late-game bosses, as long as you do not burn through them crafting large amounts of Lymbic Consumables.

Warning

Do not waste large amounts of Lymbic Shards on consumables before you have finished your Grade 5 weapon upgrades.

Trophy: Lend an Ear

Converse with all NPCs.

Type: Bronze

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Speak with all 21 conversational NPCs during a single playthrough. This appears to count the NPCs who open a full dialogue menu with progression topics on the left and optional conversation topics on the right. NPCs who only give a single line when interacted with do not appear to be required.

Warning

This trophy is missable because some required NPCs can die or disappear after certain story events. Make a habit of fully speaking with major NPCs when you first meet them before pushing the story forward.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydZ5rv7knPQ&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=28

Trophy: Man of the People

Accomplish all Good Deeds.

Type: Gold

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Complete all 26 Good Deeds in a single playthrough. Good Deeds usually involve helping people around Hadea by finding items, delivering them, or completing specific requests. Several can be permanently missed as the story advances because certain characters may disappear or die, so this is one trophy worth keeping an eye on from the beginning. Finish the missable Good Deeds before their cutoff points, then clean up the remaining ones as you continue exploring.

Warning

Several Good Deeds have story-related cutoff points. Missing even one means you cannot earn this trophy during that playthrough.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xwQJwzHjg3Q&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=5

Trophy: To the Teeth

Equip two Grade 5 Weapons and two Grade 4 Defensive Gear items at once.

Type: Silver

Category: Missable

Unlock Details

Upgrade at least two Weapons to Grade 5 and two Defensive Gear items to Grade 4, then equip all four upgraded items at the same time. Once your loadout has two max-grade weapons and two max-grade defensive pieces equipped together, the trophy should unlock.

Warning

This is missable because the required upgrades consume limited resources. Once Timeloops are closed, enemies stop respawning, so make sure you finish the necessary weapon and defensive gear upgrades before spending too many Lymbic Shards elsewhere.

Collectible

Trophy: Conspiracy Theorist

Perform research on all items related to the Conspiracy.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 8 items related to The Conspiracy. Once every required item in this research set has been collected and researched, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

This also feeds into Well-Read, so you can treat these 8 items as part of the larger research collectible cleanup instead of tackling them as a completely separate task.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36IoYE0g-o8&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=21

Trophy: Curator

Acquire 10 Relics.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Collect any 10 Relics during the playthrough. You do not need a specific set for this trophy, so it should unlock naturally while you work toward the full Relic collection required for Antiquarian.

Tip

Don’t go out of your way to farm this one early. If you are going for the Platinum, you will need far more than 10 Relics anyway, so this should pop along the way.

Trophy: Demonologist

Perform research on all items related to Lymbic Invasions.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 8 items related to the Lymbic Invasions. The trophy unlocks once every required item in this research category has been collected and fully researched.

Tip

These 8 items also contribute toward Well-Read, so it makes sense to treat them as part of the larger research-item cleanup instead of hunting them separately.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpXJVBv6S8c&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=23

Trophy: Emotional Damage

Acquire at least one Glyph from each Lymbic Sphere.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Collect at least one Glyph from each of the five Lymbic Spheres: Rage, Grief, Neutral, Terror, and Ecstasy. You only need five Glyphs total for this trophy, one representing each Sphere. Glyphs are weapon abilities earned from activities such as Good Deeds, Timeloops, Mysteries, Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge, and exploration.

Tip

You do not need a specific rarity or upgraded version. Any standard, Enhanced, or Elite Glyph counts as long as you have at least one from each Sphere.

Trophy: Emotional Warfare

Acquire all Glyphs of each Lymbic Sphere.

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Collect at least one version of all 25 unique Glyphs in the game. Each of the five Lymbic Spheres has 5 unique Glyphs, and every Glyph also has normal, Enhanced, and Elite versions. You do not need all 75 versions for this trophy. One version of each unique Glyph is enough.

Tip

Use Victor’s Craft → Glyphs to check which unique Glyphs you are still missing. The list is much easier to track there because it groups them by Lymbic Sphere and shows the full set.

Warning

Some Glyphs are tied to missable Good Deeds, so do not leave all of this for post-game cleanup. Make sure you complete the missable Good Deeds as you progress.

Trophy: Gentleman Scholar

Perform research on all items related to the Order of the Eye.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 8 items related to the Order of the Eye. Once every required research item in this category has been collected and fully researched, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

These 8 items also count toward Well-Read, so you can handle them as part of your overall research collectible cleanup instead of treating this as a separate task.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfX6SDMgkRA&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=22

Trophy: Historian

Perform research on all items related to Hadea.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 7 items related to Ancient Hadea. The trophy unlocks once every required Hadea research item has been collected and fully researched.

Tip

This overlaps with the broader research cleanup for Well-Read, so if you are going for the Platinum, treat these 7 items as part of that larger collectible sweep rather than as a separate grind.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLwTUHvQp88&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=20

Trophy: Keymaster

Solve 25 puzzles that require the correct item.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Solve any 25 item-based puzzles. These include things like locked doors that need specific keys, Lymbic chests that require the correct rods, and other interactions where progression depends on having the right item in your inventory. You will complete far more than 25 of these while working through the rest of the trophy list, so this should unlock naturally without any dedicated farming.

Tip

Do not worry about tracking this one manually. If you are completing Mysteries, opening Vaults, and exploring thoroughly, the count should take care of itself.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dRkm-Ia2Mc&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=29

Trophy: Passion for Fashion

Acquire and wear all baseball caps.

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Collect all 10 Baseball Caps, including the one you start with, then equip each cap at least once from the Loadout menu. That means you only need to find the remaining 9 during the game. The caps are spread across the world and some are found in areas unlocked through Mysteries, but none are missable, so you can clean them up after the story.

Tip

If the trophy does not unlock after cycling through all 10 caps, make sure the no hat cosmetic option is turned off while switching between them.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_y7eLao2T60&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=33

Trophy: Super-Sleuth

Resolve all Mysteries.

Type: Silver

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Complete every Mystery in a single playthrough. Mysteries are puzzle-style activities found throughout the world and usually involve things like locked doors, chests, keys, passcodes, Lymbic Rods, or clues that lead to a solution. None of them are missable, so you can safely finish the story first and come back later to clean up anything you skipped. That makes this one much less stressful than the Good Deeds trophy.

Tip

If you are missing any at the end, check the Exploration → Mysteries menu and work through them by location. Since they can all be completed after the story, there is no need to panic-clean every puzzle the moment you see it.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCAjbkeY6_E

Trophy: Sworn to Secrecy

Perform research on all items related to the Vigil.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 5 items related to The Vigil. Once every required Vigil research item has been collected and fully researched, the trophy will unlock.

Tip

These 5 items also count toward Well-Read, so you can handle them as part of your overall research-item cleanup rather than chasing them separately.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz9C6PY9sIc&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=24

Trophy: Tech-Savvy

Acquire all Drone Modules.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Collect at least one version of each of the 8 unique Drone Modules. There are 16 modules total because every module also has an Elite version, but you do not need both versions for the trophy. As long as you have one copy of each unique module type, Tech-Savvy will unlock. The 8 unique Drone Modules are: Death from Above, Distract, Entropic Field, Forward Charge, Rearguard, Shockwave, Surge Step, and Whirlwind. They are found throughout the world, usually on OMSIF soldiers or as rewards from Mysteries.

Tip

Check Inventory → Drone Items to see what you already have. None of the Drone Modules are missable, so you can safely clean up any missing ones after the story.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p2E-CbHbZ60&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=26

Trophy: War Correspondent

Perform research on all items related to the Civil War.

Type: Bronze

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 9 Civil War-related items. Once you have collected every required item and completed the research for each one, the trophy will unlock. Since this is tied to a specific set of research items, it is worth checking your collection as you explore so you know which entries are still missing.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3JRr00PKeU&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=19

Trophy: Well-Read

Perform research on all items.

Type: Gold

Category: Collectible

Unlock Details

Find and research all 45 Research Items in the game. After Tania joins you in the APC during Act 1, you can bring Research Items to her so she can identify them and add the information to your Research Log. The 45 items are split across six categories, and completing each category also unlocks its own Bronze trophy. Once all six sets are finished, Well-Read unlocks. None of the Research Items are missable, so you can safely clean up anything you skipped after finishing the story. Researching items also helps reveal solutions for the Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge, so collecting them does more than just feed the trophy list.

Tip

Use the six category trophies as built-in progress markers. If one of those Bronze trophies has not unlocked yet, you immediately know which research group still has something missing.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bLwTUHvQp88&t=8s

Combat

Trophy: All the Rage

Defeat all 3 Haze of Rage variants.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat the Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III versions of the red Haze of Rage. You will encounter all three variants naturally as you progress, and the final area requires fights against each tier as part of the story, so this trophy cannot be missed. Keep moving forward and eventually the rage will work itself out.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r018sYTb_Bg&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=7

Trophy: Big Game Hunter

Defeat all 5 Hollow Walker variants.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat each of the five Hollow Walker variants. These are the white, faceless enemies you encounter throughout the game. You cannot earn this immediately because the final variant does not begin appearing until you reach Vyssa Hills, the third area. Keep fighting the different Hollow Walkers as you progress and this should unlock once you have defeated all five types.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=etB8Dkl3GSU&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=11

Trophy: Buzz Killer

Defeat all 3 Haze of Ecstasy variants.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Defeat the Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III versions of the yellow Haze of Ecstasy. You will encounter these variants naturally as you progress through the game, so there is no special setup required. Keep pushing through the story and this one should unlock along the way.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VgWoWndDrA&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=8

Trophy: Fear No Evil

Defeat all 3 Haze of Terror variants.

Type: Bronze

Defeat the Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III versions of the green Haze of Terror. These enemies appear naturally as you progress through the story, so there is no special farming or setup required. Keep moving forward and this trophy should unlock on its own.

Trophy: Good Grief

Defeat all 3 Haze of Grief variants.

Type: Bronze

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat the Tier I, Tier II, and Tier III versions of the blue Haze of Grief. You will encounter all three variants naturally as you progress through the story, so there is no special farming or detour required. Keep advancing and this one should pop along the way.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IObU2UWNAV8&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=10

Trophy: Legend of the Phol

Close all Timeloops and defeat all remaining entities.

Type: Gold

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Close all 14 Timeloops, then clear every remaining Hollow from every location in the same playthrough. To close a Timeloop, defeat its Timeloop Guardians and use the correct Amine Prism inside the Timeloop. Once a Timeloop is closed, enemies tied to that area stop respawning, so your next job is to sweep the area and kill anything still left alive. Keep checking the APC map as you work through each region. A location is fully finished when it shows Threats: Clear. There is no direct tracker for individual leftover enemies, so if an area still shows threats, you will need to search side paths, tunnels, caves, upper levels, and other easy-to-miss spots until the map finally gives you the all-clear.

Tip

Do the enemy cleanup after closing each Timeloop when possible. Since enemies no longer respawn afterward, it makes it much easier to tell what is actually left instead of repeatedly clearing the same packs.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Breh-M0ARXk&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=15

Trophy: Phol Guy

Defeat 40 Tier II Hazes.

Type: Silver

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat a total of 40 Tier II Hazes. You will encounter plenty of Tier II Hazes as you progress, so this should come naturally without needing to farm them. Keep clearing Hazes whenever they appear and the total will build up over time.

Tip

Use the PS5 trophy tracker if you want to check how close you are to 40.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcsTDKOUG7E&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=13

Trophy: Rise and Phol

Defeat 40 Tier I Hazes.

Type: Silver

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat a total of 40 Tier I Hazes. Hazes are the colored cloud-like enemies attached to Hollow Walkers, and you need to destroy the Haze before you can properly damage the Hollow it is linked to. You will run into far more than 40 during a normal playthrough, so there is no need to grind this early. Even if a Haze respawns because the attached Hollow was not defeated in time, killing that Haze again still counts toward the total.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofvkr_myM9c&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=12

Trophy: The Harder They Phol

Defeat 40 Tier III Hazes.

Type: Silver

Category: Combat

Unlock Details

Defeat a total of 40 Tier III Hazes. These are the toughest Haze variants, but you will encounter enough of them through normal progression that you should not need to grind specifically for the trophy. Just keep taking them down whenever they appear and the count will build naturally.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAuFHq5ac8E&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=14

Misc

Trophy: Amateur Detective

Resolve a Mystery.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Complete any Mystery for the first time. The trophy unlocks as soon as you successfully resolve one, so there is no specific Mystery you need to choose. If you are exploring thoroughly and following clues as you find them, this should come naturally.

Trophy: Good Samaritan

Accomplish a Good Deed.

Type: Bronze

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Complete any Good Deed for the first time. The trophy unlocks as soon as you finish one successfully, so you do not need to complete a specific one for this trophy.

Trophy: Vault Raider

Unseal a Vault of Forbidden Knowledge.

Type: Silver

Category: Misc

Unlock Details

Open any one of the six Vaults of Forbidden Knowledge. Each Vault is a hidden room sealed behind a symbol puzzle, and the solutions can be learned from Tania as you turn in Research Items. The solutions are fixed, though, so you can open a Vault as soon as you can reach it if you already know the correct symbol combination. For the earliest straightforward option, the Vault of the Copse in Senedra Forest is a good choice. From the APC, head west up the hill to the OMSIF camp and enter the cave behind the tent. Set the four dials to Terror symbol, Figure 8, Rage symbol, Circle with Spikes to open the Vault and unlock the trophy.

Tip

You will eventually want to open all six Vaults anyway because each contains valuable rewards, including Relics needed for Antiquarian. None of the Vaults are missable, so you can clean them up after the story if needed.

Video Guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iREupeAbuOs&list=PL_1gpmPcSp0sjI8-FnDy5F3SaVeepPCBl&index=25

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Trophy: Well-Travelled

Visit all locations.

Type: Bronze

Category: Story

Unlock Details

Visit every location in the game. None of the locations are missable, and the story eventually takes you through all of them naturally. This should unlock at the start of Act 3 when you reach the Eye of God, so there is no separate exploration cleanup required for the trophy.
